HOT Animation – based in Broadheath, Manchester – was established
in 1998. Headed up by three animation industry veterans, a young and
vibrant team was selected from the cream of talent emerging from
schools and universities, as well as experienced professionals from
home and abroad. Phenomenal success was achieved with their first
original project “BOB THE BUILDER”, which was followed by such
productions as “BRAMBLY HEDGE”, “PINGU” and “RUBBADUBBERS”.
HOT Animation has also had success with pop promo’s which were
produced to accompany two “BOB THE BUILDER” hit singles, as
well as a song by Eskimo Disco which was accompanied by some
specially filmed animation of “PINGU”. Recently, HOT has opened its
doors to third party work, and was also responsible for an animated
sequence paying homage to “CAMBERWICK GREEN” (a very popular
animated series of the 1970’s) which was seen at the beginning of an
episode of the BBC drama Series “Life on Mars.” |
