BRAMBLY HEDGE was HOT Animations very first production for HIT Entertainment, which was based on the best selling - and beautifully illustrated books by Jill Barklem. This innovatively designed production used a method called 'decoupage' - which used multiple enlargements from Jill's actual illustrations - cut and layered onto the sets, to faithfully recreate the look of the books. Using fully armatured and finely sculpted puppets, the series was animated by some of Britain's best animators.

Animation detail included the ability for the mice to 'twitch' their noses! Voiced by many of Britain's leading actors, which included Jim Broadbent, Neil Morrissey, Rosemary Leach, Robert Lindsay, June Whitfield, and Michael Williams, and with a sumptuous music score by Ernie Wood, this series has become one of the most loved of the new generation of classic tales.
